Mode of Action of Midacip 1.25 MG
How Does It Work?
Midacip is a short-acting benzodiazepine, which acts as a central nervous system depressant. It helps in relieving anxiety, convulsions and muscle tension. Midacip binds to specific receptors in the brain and increases gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels, a chemical messenger, in the brain. GABA has an inhibitory effect and works by slowing down the excitability of nerve impulses.
Midacip has a small molecular weight that allows the compound to permeate the nasal mucosa and cross the blood-brain barrier. The effects of the drug can be observed soon after the medication is given, and the effects wear off after approximately four hours....
Directions for Use of Midacip 1.25 MG
- Take this medication as and when directed by your doctor.
- Check the label present on the bottle of Midacip for directions before using it.
- Take Midacip by inserting the bottle tip into one nostril while holding the other nostril close.
- Direct the spray towards the side of your nose and away from the mid cartilage that divides the nostrils.
- While spraying, Midacip breathes in gently and keep your head upright.
- Repeat the process for the other nostril too.
- You can take Midacip with or without food.
- Take the medication at a fixed time to avoid missing dosages.
