Medical Description
Lumerax 80 is a tablet used to treat malaria when other antimalarial medicines are ineffective. It contains a combination of artemether and lumefantrine. This medicine works by acting directly on malaria-causing organisms, inhibiting their growth. To avoid an upset stomach, take this medicine with meals or a glass of milk. Take it as directed by your doctor, in the exact dose and duration prescribed. Even if you feel better, do not stop taking this medicine abruptly. Stopping suddenly can result in treatment failure and incomplete eradication of malaria-causing organisms from the body, increasing the risk of re-infection. Before taking lumerax 80 mg, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, breastfeeding, or have a detailed medical history.
