• As per CDSCO, D Veniz tablet is used to treat depression (improves mood and general behaviour)

• If you are allergic to the components of this medicine.
• If you are already using other antidepressant medications.
• If you have been diagnosed with Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (a rare reaction caused by antipsychotic medicines).
• If you have bipolar disorder, this medicine can increase agitation and aggression.
• If you have low sodium levels in the blood.
• If you have a urinary tract problem, heart disease, and bleeding disorders, the dose of this medicine should be carefully monitored.

Interactions with other medicines

• If you use blood thinners like warfarin and antiplatelet medicines like clopidogrel, D Veniz tablets can increase bleeding or bruising.
• If you are using different antidepressant medicines like linezolid, methylene blue, etc., do not take this medicine, as it can cause severe and sometimes fatal reactions.
• If you are taking medicines that increase serotonin-like St John’s wort, antidepressants like fluoxetine can cause serotonin toxicity, which results in life-threatening adverse effects.
• If you are using opioid painkillers, cough medicine, sleeping pills, or antihistamines like cetirizine, do not take D Veniz tablets, as it can cause excessive drowsiness.
