Description

Clonasig Tablet is a prescription medicine containing Clonazepam. It is used for preventing and controlling seizures (episodes of sudden tightening of muscles and movements). It is known as an antico

nvulsant or an anti-epileptic medicine. It can be used as a treatment for panic attacks as well. It belongs to a benzodiazepine group of medicines, which act on GABA transmitter and leaves a calming effect on nerves in the brain. It blocks the excessive excitatory abnormal impulses which cause convulsions or seizures. Clonasig Tablet can be prescribed alone or in combination with some other medicines that act in coordination. Dosage is based on your age, response to treatment, comorbid conditions and other disease conditions, as per your doctor's advice. In children, the dose is weight calculated. It's essential to take this medicine at definite intervals without skipping any doses. Do not stop this medicine without your doctor's consultation, as it may also worsen the condition. In long term treatment, it may happen so that the same dose might not be equally effective anymore; in such cases, you need to tell your doctor to revise the medicine or dose. It has habit-forming potential.
