Fold the cup: Try a C-fold by flattening the cup and folding it in half, or a punch-down fold by pushing one side of the rim into the base and pinching the sides.
Insert: Hold the folded cup firmly and gently insert it into the vagina towards the tailbone. Push or gently wiggle it until the base is fully inside.
Check the seal: Release the fold so the cup opens. Run a finger around the base to check that it is round, or gently tug the stem. Resistance may indicate that it is sealed.
Remove: Wash your hands. Pinch the base of the cup, not the stem, to release the suction seal. Slowly wiggle the cup out while keeping it upright.
Empty and clean: Empty the contents into a toilet, rinse the cup with water and reinsert it if needed. Clean it thoroughly between cycles and store it in the cotton pouch.
