• Read the kit instructions before starting.
• Clean a fingertip with the supplied alcohol swab.
• Use the sterile lancet to collect a small blood sample.
• Add 2 drops, approximately 20 µL, of whole blood, serum or plasma to the sample well marked "S" on the test cassette.
• Add 2 drops of assay buffer to the same sample well.
• Allow the test to develop for 15 to 20 minutes.
• Read the result as instructed. Two or three coloured lines indicate a positive result and may show IgG, IgM or both.
• Only the Control (C) line indicates a negative result, meaning no detectable Chikungunya antibodies were found at the time of testing.
• If the Control (C) line does not appear, the result is invalid. Repeat the test with a new kit.
