Use the lancet device to obtain a small blood sample from your fingertip. 4. Touch the blood to the edge of the test strip's sample area the strip will draw it in automatically. 5. Wait 7 seconds for the glucose reading to appear on the meter screen. 6. Record or log your result. Use the strip ejector to safely remove the used strip.
