- You have dehydration, congestive heart failure, hypertension, reduced renal or hepatic performance, a history of GI illness should use it with caution.
- GI bleeding, ulceration, or perforation can occur with or without discomfort. If you experience persistent abdominal pain or cramping, or if you notice blood in your stool, stop taking medicine and call your doctor.
- Marcogesic oil may show high blood levels and possible toxicity. Hence monitor serum lithium levels regularly.
- Maintain appropriate fluid intake.
- Avoid aspirin-containing medicines and any other anti-inflammatory medications until you consult your doctor.

- Please keep in mind that every patient and their situation is unique. Therefore the dose may vary depending on the condition, mode of administration, patient age, and medical history. Use Marcogesic oil only as advised by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Avoid taking painkillers including ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen while on this medicine, as it increases the risk of side effects.
- If you have hypertension, restrict yourself from taking blood thinners. In addition, you should visit your doctor before taking this medicine.
- Increased toxicity of methotrexate, cyclosporine, digoxin, sulfonylureas, potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, insulin, aspirin may occur if taken along with Marcogesic 30 ml oil.
- Due to the serious adverse effects that Marcogesic may produce in patients, don't use the following medicines when taking this medicine:
- Ketorolac
- Methotrexate
- Busulfan
- Celecoxib
- Ramipril
- Apixaban
- Altretamine
- Adefovir
Interactions with food items
- You should take this medicine with food since it will help absorb the medicine better and boost its efficacy.
