Contraindications of Cipladine 5% Oint 20gm

  • If you are allergic to iodine, polyvinyl pyrrolidone or any of the other ingredients present in this cream, stop using it on an immediate basis and consult your doctor
  • If you have thyroid problem such as goitre or Hashimoto's disease (a thyroid disease)
  • If you are on Lithium therapy to treat depression
  • Cipladine Ointment should not be given to children below two years of age

Directions for Use of Cipladine 5% Oint 20gm

  • Use Cipladine Ointment as directed by your doctor
  • For external use only
  • Wash your hands before and after using this cream unless your hands are the area to be treated
  • Avoid touching the tip of the container directly to the infected area
  • In case your eyes come in contact with this cream, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately

Dosage of Cipladine 5% Oint 20gm

Overdose

  • As Cipladine Ointment is meant only for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
  • If you have overapplied it, wipe out the excess cream with a clean tissue or cotton.
  • Excessive use of it for a prolonged duration is not advised. If there is no improvement in your infection or wound, contact your doctor.

If you have missed the application of this cream as prescribed, apply it as soon as you remember. Do not overapply this cream to compensate for the missed application.
