Medical Description

Candid cream is a topical antifungal medicine used to treat yeast infections of the skin, vagina, ear and ringworm infections. It contains clotrimazole as its main ingredient. A few other creams with clotrimazole as their composition are Candid Gold 1% cream, Surfaz 1% cream, Clocip cream, Imidil cream, and Clozol 1% cream.

Candid cream is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. Make sure to wash your hands both before and after using this medication, unless your hands are being treated.

You may experience some application site reactions as side effects, but they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen. Before using Candid cream, please discuss with your doctor if you have any other skin conditions.

Uses

Candid cream is used for the treatment of fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash.
