How Does It Work?
The medicine inhibits the growth of Candida or fungal cells by modifying the permeability of the fungal cell wall. It binds to phospholipids in the cell membrane and inhibits the formation of ergosterol and other sterols, which are necessary components of the cell membrane. It may reduce fungal growth or cause fungal cell death....
