Cadomer 500 MG Description

Cadomer ointment contains Cadexomer iodine, an antiseptic agent. It absorbs fluid, removes pus and dead skin from the wound area, stops bacterial growth and helps in promoting the healing of long-sta

nding wounds. This ointment can be used for pus-forming wounds like leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and pressure ulcers. Do not use Cadomer ointment, if you are allergic to any of its component, especially iodine. This ointment should not be used in children below 12 years of age, also in pregnant and breastfeeding women for safety concerns. Cadomer ointment is not recommended in patients with hyperactivity of the thyroid gland and patients having dry wounds. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor.

  • If you are allergic to any of the component of Cadomer ointment.
  • If you are allergic or have iodine sensitivity.
  • If you have hyperactivity of thyroid gland or thyroid-related disorders like Hashimoto's thyroiditis, grave’s disease or Non-toxic nodular goitre.
  • If you have dry wounds.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • It should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
