Description
3M Opticlude Orthoptic Eye Patch 1539 is an adult-size, tan oval patch for doctor-directed eye occlusion therapy. When worn over the preferred eye, it may encourage the weaker eye to function. It has a central non-adherent absorbent pad, breathable backing and gentle adhesive. The patch is designed to fit behind glasses while allowing free eyelid movement.
How to Use
Wear the patch for the duration advised by your doctor.
Application: Clean and dry the skin. Remove the paper liner. Gently close both eyes and relax the facial muscles, avoiding wrinkles around the eye. Place the patch with its narrow end towards the nose. Do not stretch the patch or pull the skin. Press lightly around the outside of the patch with your fingertips to secure it.
Removal: Starting at the nose side, loosen the outer edge. Support the skin with your fingers and peel the patch low and slowly towards the ear, keeping it close to the skin and pulling it back over itself. Continue supporting the newly exposed skin. If the patch is strongly adhered, a medical-grade adhesive remover or moisturiser approved for use around the eye may be used along the edge.
