• Take about 10 ml of oil in a bowl. Place the bowl in warm water and check the temperature before applying, especially for children.
• Rub the warmed oil generously on the chest, back and neck, and apply it lightly along the sinus area.
• Follow with warm steam inhalation or a hot compress.
• To make a compress, tie a handful of mustard seeds in a muslin cloth to make a potli. Warm it gently over a dry pan until slightly warm, check the temperature, then place it over the sinuses, chest, back and neck.
• For night-time use, rub the oil on the soles of the feet.
