• Thoroughly cleanse the wound.
• For a shallow wound, apply gel to one-fourth of the wound's thickness, or fill the wound with gel.
• Cover with a suitable secondary dressing, such as gauze or a cotton dressing.
• Apply a thin layer 1 to 2 times daily, or follow a doctor's directions.
