Other Information
Description
Jiva Anu Oil is an Ayurvedic herbal nasal oil used in the traditional Nasya routine. The oil is placed in the nostrils and may help with nasal congestion while supporting the nose and related sense organs. Use it only under medical supervision because the amount and routine depend on individual needs.
How to Use
- Use only under medical supervision and after a doctor has advised Nasya.
- For a morning routine, empty the bladder and bowels if needed, brush your teeth and perform the routine on an empty stomach.
- Gently massage the face and neck with plain sesame oil, avoiding the eyes and eyelids.
- Warm the face and neck gently using early morning sunlight, light exercise, lukewarm water or a warm towel. Keep heat away from the eyes and eyelids.
- Lie on your back in a room without a breeze or strong sunlight. Place a thin pillow under the neck, face upwards, with the arms and legs extended.
- Place the amount advised by the doctor into each nostril. Do not decide the number of drops yourself.
- If the drops are difficult to tolerate, ask the doctor whether applying the oil inside the nostrils is a suitable lower-dose option.
Features
- Ayurvedic herbal oil made for nasal instillation during Nasya.
- The amount used can be adjusted by a doctor based on the person's condition and dosha imbalance.
Side Effects
Possible reactions described after nasal instillation include head heaviness, pin-prick pain, sensitivity and pain extending from the nose towards the throat or head. Improper preparation before Nasya may contribute to these reactions. Stop use and consult a doctor if discomfort is severe or continues.
Precautions and Warnings
- Do not start Nasya on your own. Use the oil only under medical supervision.
- Avoid performing Jala Neti and Anu Tail Nasya together. Keep a gap of at least half an hour between them.
- After nasal surgery, wait until the wounds have completely healed, which may take around 1 month, and use the oil only if a doctor advises it.
- Keep massage oil and heat treatments away from the eyes and eyelids.
Ingredients
Ayurvedic herbal oil made with pure herbs. The individual herbs and their quantities are not specified.
Comparison
