Casirivimab and imdevimab combipack injection is an antibody cocktail. It is used for the treatment of confirmed cases of mild to moderate COVID-19 disease in individuals over 12 years of age (weighi

ng at least 40 kg) who are at high risk of developing severe COVID-19 disease and do not require oxygen. High risk is defined as patients over 60 years of age, obesity, existing heart, lung, kidney and liver condition, diabetes, asthma, cancer, HIV, immunocompromised state, someone who has undergone organ transplant and are on medicine that can weaken/suppress the immune system. The use of this medicine should be based on the treating physician's discretion after careful assessment of the condition for an individual patient.

Q: What do you mean by patients with a high risk of developing COVID-19 disease?

A: High risk is defined as patients over 60 years of age, obesity, existing heart, lung, kidney or liver condition. Certain medical state such as diabetes, asthma, HIV, cancer, sickle cell anaemia, thalassemia, and prolonged use of immune-weakening medications. This also includes someone who has received a transplanted organ recently, have low or week immunity (immunocompromised).
