Povinanz 10% Microbicidal Povidone Iodine Solution is an external antiseptic for use on skin. It may help reduce the growth of infection-causing germs on minor wounds, cuts, abrasions and small burns. Povidone iodine slowly releases iodine for antiseptic action.

Use in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area, and wash your hands before and after application.

• For minor wounds and small or superficial burns, apply the solution to the area.
• Before an injection or puncture, apply it to the site and allow it to dry before the procedure.
• For surgical skin preparation, apply enough solution to cover the incision site and surrounding area, then allow it to dry. If more than one application is needed, allow the area to dry completely between applications.
• For extensive or deep wounds and burns, speak with a doctor before use. The source advises dilution with 1 part solution and 3 parts sterile water or sterile 0.9% sodium chloride, followed by thorough rinsing with sterile water or sterile 0.9% sodium chloride.
