Description

If you are someone with complaints of high or low blood pressure or fall within the risk group of high blood pressure due to being overweight, having an inactive lifestyle, or due to consuming foods that are high in salt, you should consider having a BP Monitor at home. Regular blood pressure monitoring forms a very important part of blood pressure (hypertension) management. Unregulated or untreated high blood pressure increases the possibility of a sudden heart attack, stroke or other serious complications. By tracking your blood pressure daily at home, at the same time, you will be able to take note of the reasons behind your spike, detect any unnatural indication, have a better consultation with your doctor and improve your treatment outcomes.

The mark of a good BP monitor is that it is user-friendly and gives accurate results. PharmEasy Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor is one such home device which is simple to use, comes with a wide cuff range to ensure comfort and provides accurate results.

Uses

Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor uses the oscillometric method of measurement. The monitor detects the blood’s movement through brachial arteries and converts the movement into a digital reading.

Intelligent inflation reduces discomfort associated with incorrect inflation. This is done by shortening the measurement time and prolonging the cuffs usage lifetime.

With 2*90 sets memory function, every result indicating the measurement will be displayed on the screen. It will also get automatically stored.

The automatic blood pressure monitor from PharmEasy is intended to measure the pulse and systolic & diastolic pressure through the upper arm.

FAQ

Q1: How should I measure my blood pressure at home?

Ans: Try to monitor your blood pressure regularly. Be seated or lie down comfortably and tie the cuff of the instrument around your upper arm. Press the start button and wait for the BP measurement to be complete. Read the instructions for use before operating the instrument. Always measure the same arm, typically the left arm and ensure to remove any garment that fits closely to the upper arm. Note the time of measurement along with the readings to understand BP variations throughout the day.

Q2: Are there any specific guidelines I need to follow before taking the measurement?

Ans: You must relax for five to ten minutes prior to taking the measurement. You should also ensure not to eat anything, not drink alcohol, not exercise and not smoke for at least thirty minutes before the measurement is taken. Doing any of these things mentioned will influence the outcome of the measurement.

Q3: What is the difference between diastolic and systolic blood pressure values?

Ans: Blood pressure is the pressure exerted by the flowing blood on the walls of arteries. It is the measurement of the force used by the heart to pump blood around the body. The systolic blood pressure value represents the blood pressure that is produced when the heart muscle contracts. The diastolic blood pressure value represents the blood pressure that is produced when the heart muscle relaxes.
