Benadryl DR syrup is used to treat and reduce a dry cough. It is also used to soothe a sore throat. This syrup contains dextromethorphan, an antitussive medicine that suppresses the cough. Benadryl D

R syrup should be taken as directed by the doctor in doses and duration as prescribed. Driving and handling any machinery should be avoided because this medicine can make you feel dizzy.
