Aerocort CFC-Free Bottle of 100/50mcg 200md Inhaler is a combination medication that comprises beclomethasone and salbutamol/albuterol. It is used to treat or prevent the number of dyspnoea episodes
(shortness of breath), as well as to provide relief from night-time asthma worsening and asthma symptoms. Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease in which the airways narrow, swell, and produce excessive mucus, making it difficult to breathe. Aerocort inhaler is also used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Beclomethasone is used to reduce swelling of the airways in the lungs, whereas, salbutamol relaxes the muscles of the airways. Together, these molecules help to ease the breathing. This medicine is available as a prescription from doctors. This medicine can also be used in children more than 5 years of age.You should take this medicine at a dose recommended by a doctor. Aerocort Inhaler commonly causes headache, shakiness, increased heart beat, dry throat, sore throat, hoarse voice, or muscle cramps as side effects. - Concurrent administration of bendroflumethiazide, indapamide, bumetanide, furosemide, digoxin, aminophylline, theophylline, betamethasone, prednisolone, triamcinolone may worsen the risk of hypokalaemia (excessive potassium loss)...
- Clomipramine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid, or phenelzine may alter the effects of salbutamol
- High doses of corticosteroids when given with higher doses of salbutamol increases the risk of hypokalaemia
