Adcef 300 MG Description

Adcef Capsule is an antibiotic medicine. It is used to treat various bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, airways, tonsils, middle ear and skin infections. Adcef contains Cefdinir as its active

ingredient. It works by interfering with the synthesis of the cell walls of bacteria, leading to the death of the bacteria responsible for the infection. It is advised to complete the entire course of Adcef Capsule. Do not stop taking this medicine even if your symptoms disappear. Take Adcef with food to avoid stomach infection.

If you are allergic to cefdinir or any similar antibiotics, including penicillin or any other ingredients of Adcef Capsule.

Pregnancy

Can I take Adcef Capsule during pregnancy?

There is limited information about the effect of Adcef in pregnancy. Thus this medicine should only be used in pregnancy if considered essential and prescribed by your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Adcef Capsule while breastfeeding?

Components of Adcef were not found in breast milk. Thus you can take this medicine if prescribed by your doctor.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Adcef Capsule?

If you experience dizziness after taking Adcef, avoid driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Adcef Capsule?

There is limited information available on interactions of Adcef when taken with alcohol. However, alcohol may worsen the side effects of this medicine and delay the recovery from infection. Thus, avoid consuming alcohol while taking this antibiotic.

Mode of Action of Adcef 300 MG

How Does It Work?

Cefdinir works by inhibiting the growth of the cell walls of bacteria, which eventually leads to the death of the bacteria.

Directions for Use of Adcef 300 MG

Take Adcef Capsule as a whole with a sufficient amount of water as directed by your doctor.
Do not consume it more than the prescribed medicine or for a longer duration.
Always complete the course of antibiotic medicine and do not discontinue on your own.

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Adcef Capsule works or Adcef itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
