Medical Description
Amaryl M1 tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine. It contains glimepiride and metformin as its active ingredient. Amaryl M1 tablet is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a condition where blood sugar level rises above the normal range, when it cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone. This medicine lowers the raised blood glucose levels.
You should follow a healthy diet and exercise along with the medicine. Amaryl M1 tablet must be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It should be taken with meals, preferably with the first meal of the day. Gemer 1mg tablet, Gluconorm G 1mg tablet, Glimestar M 1mg tablet and Zoryl M 1mg tablet also include glimepiride and metformin.

Contraindications of AMARYL M 1MG STRIP OF 15 TABLETS
- If you are allergic to metformin, glimepiride or any of the ingredient of Amaryl M1 tablet.
- If you have serious kidney failure or liver failure.
- If you have any metabolic acidosis (too much acid in the body fluids) like lactic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis or diabetic pre-coma.
- If you have dehydration, severe infections, shock and injections containing iodine.
- If you have had heart or lung failure, recent incidence of heart attack and shock.
- If you are alcoholic.
