Overview

Overview

The women advanced bronze package is a comprehensive health check-up designed to evaluate multiple aspects of a woman’s health through a single set of laboratory investigations. By assessing several health parameters together, it can help identify early signs of nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, metabolic disorders, and organ dysfunction, even before noticeable symptoms develop.

This package contains 89 tests that assess blood health, blood sugar, cholesterol, liver and kidney function, thyroid health, electrolyte balance, and levels of essential vitamins and minerals. It also includes female hormone tests that provide useful information about reproductive health and may support the evaluation of menstrual irregularities, fertility concerns, or hormonal changes during different stages of life. This package may be recommended for women experiencing persistent fatigue, unexplained weight changes, hair fall, irregular menstrual cycles, low energy levels, or other symptoms that could be related to underlying nutritional or hormonal issues. It is equally valuable as a routine preventive screening for women who wish to monitor their health regularly, especially if they have a family history of chronic conditions or lead a busy lifestyle that may affect their overall health.

The package requires a blood sample and a urine sample which will be collected from your home by a trained phlebotomist at a time of your choosing. An overnight fast may be required depending on the tests included, as some of them in the package are best performed in the fasting state. The results should always be interpreted by your doctor, who can correlate them with your symptoms, medical history, and other investigations if needed to guide further evaluation, treatment, or lifestyle recommendations.

How to Prepare for the Women Advanced Bronze Package?

How to Prepare for the Women Advanced Bronze Package?

What to expect before the sample collection:

  • Your doctor may recommend fasting for 8 to 12 hours before sample collection, as some tests included in the package are best performed in the fasting state. You may drink plain water during this period unless advised otherwise. Avoid beverages such as tea, coffee and fruit juices.
  • Inform your healthcare provider about any medications, vitamin supplements, or existing medical conditions, as these can influence the results of certain tests.
  • Avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours before the test, as these may temporarily affect the results of certain investigations.
  • If the package is being used to evaluate fertility or certain hormonal conditions, your doctor may advise scheduling hormone tests such as FSH and LH on specific days of your menstrual cycle to ensure accurate interpretation.

What to expect during the sample collection:

Blood sample collection

  • The sample collection process is simple and usually takes only a few minutes.
  • A trained phlebotomist will visit your home at the scheduled time and will collect a blood sample from a vein in your arm using a sterile needle after cleaning the area with an antiseptic.
  • You may experience a brief pinprick or mild discomfort when the needle is inserted, but the procedure is generally well tolerated.
  • Once the blood sample has been collected, gentle pressure will be applied to the site, and a small bandage may be placed to minimise bleeding.

Urine sample collection

  • You will also be asked to provide a urine sample in a sterile container. Before collecting the sample, cleaning the genital area as instructed may help prevent contamination.
  • In most cases, a midstream urine sample is preferred, which involves passing the first portion of urine into the toilet and collecting the middle portion in the container. This helps reduce contamination.
  • During the entire process, ensure that you do not touch the inner portion of the container with your fingers.
  • Once the sample is collected, securely close the container and hand it over to the phlebotomist.

Once both samples have been collected, they will be sent to the laboratory for analysis.

What to expect after the sample collection:

  • You can resume normal diet, medications and activities soon after this test, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
  • Mild pain, bruising, or tenderness at the blood collection site may occur but typically resolves within a day or two without treatment.
  • Once the analysis of your samples is completed, the reports will be uploaded on the PharmEasy platform, from where they can be downloaded.
  • Your results will be reviewed by your doctor, who will interpret them along with your symptoms, medical history, and any other investigations before recommending further evaluation, treatment, or lifestyle modifications, if required.

Note: If you notice persistent bleeding, increasing pain, swelling, redness, or a rash at the puncture site, such as persistent bleeding, rashes, or pain, consult your healthcare provider.

People Also Ask

Can this package diagnose a disease?

No. This package helps identify abnormal test results that may indicate an underlying health condition. Your doctor will interpret the results and may recommend further evaluation or additional tests if needed.

Is this package suitable during pregnancy?

Some tests included in the package may be useful during pregnancy, but normal reference ranges can differ. It is best to consult your obstetrician or healthcare provider before booking the package.

Is this package suitable for children?

No. This package is designed for adult women and is generally not recommended for children unless specifically advised by a doctor.

How often should I undergo this package?

Healthy women may consider a comprehensive health check-up once a year. Your doctor may recommend more frequent testing if you have an existing medical condition, abnormal results, or other risk factors.

What are the risks associated with this package?

The package is generally safe. Blood sample collection may cause mild pain, bruising, or rarely, infection at the puncture site. Urine sample collection is non-invasive and does not pose any significant risks.

What are the limitations of this package?

This package cannot diagnose all medical conditions. Normal results do not completely rule out disease, and abnormal results may require additional investigations for confirmation.

Can I book this package if I am menstruating?

Yes. Most tests in the package can be performed during menstruation. However, if hormone evaluation is the primary reason for testing, your doctor may recommend scheduling certain tests on specific days of your menstrual cycle.

Will I need additional tests after this package?

Not always. If any abnormalities are detected, your doctor may recommend further tests to confirm a diagnosis or help determine the underlying cause.

Can lifestyle changes improve abnormal results?

In many cases, yes. Healthy eating, regular exercise, adequate sleep, maintaining a healthy weight, and following your doctor’s advice can help improve parameters such as blood sugar, cholesterol, and certain nutritional deficiencies.

Is it safe to drive after the test?

The package does not involve any medications or procedures that affect your ability to drive. However, if you feel light-headed after the blood draw, wait until you feel better before driving.
