  • Summary
Jaanch Healthy Mind Package is designed to identify nutritional, hormonal, and metabolic imbalances that may affect mood, stress levels, mental clarity, energy, and overall cognitive well-being. The panel evaluates cortisol, a key stress hormone, and thyroid function, as thyroid disorders can contribute to mood changes, low energy, and depression. It also assesses essential nutrients, including iron, zinc, magnesium, vitamin B12, and vitamin D, which support brain and nerve function, stress regulation, sleep quality, and muscle health. Deficiencies in these nutrients may contribute to anxiety, fatigue, irritability, brain fog, and reduced mental performance. It is ideal for individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, low mood, poor sleep, reduced productivity, frequent illnesses, or anyone looking to support their mental and physical well-being.Read more

Overview

Overview

The Jaanch Healthy Mind Package is a health check-up designed to evaluate underlying medical conditions that may influence mental well-being and cognitive function. Mental health is shaped by a combination of biological, psychological, and environmental factors. Hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, chronic stress, and certain medical conditions can contribute to symptoms such as persistent fatigue, low mood, poor concentration, memory problems, irritability, sleep disturbances, and difficulty coping with stress. Identifying these potentially reversible factors can support timely medical evaluation and appropriate management.

This package comprises 33 tests that assess cortisol levels, thyroid function, nutritional status, iron status, and overall blood health. It includes a morning serum cortisol test to evaluate the body’s stress response, thyroid function tests to identify thyroid disorders that may affect mood and cognition, vitamin B12 and vitamin D tests to detect nutritional deficiencies associated with neurological and psychological symptoms, a serum iron test to assess iron status, magnesium and zinc test to evaluate essential mineral levels, and a complete blood count to assess overall blood health. Together, these tests help identify underlying medical conditions that may contribute to mental health symptoms.

The package requires a blood sample, which will be collected from your home by a trained phlebotomist. Fasting is not required for this package. However, the cortisol test is ideally performed in the morning (between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.), when cortisol levels are naturally at their highest. Therefore, it is recommended to schedule your sample collection during this time. Your doctor will interpret the results alongside your symptoms, medical history, physical examination, and other clinical findings, as laboratory tests alone cannot diagnose mental health conditions.

Who Should Book the Jaanch Healthy Mind Package?

Who Should Book the Jaanch Healthy Mind Package?

  • Individuals experiencing persistent fatigue, low mood, irritability, difficulty concentrating, memory problems, or “brain fog” without an obvious cause.
  • Individuals with ongoing stress, poor sleep, or difficulty coping with daily activities, especially when symptoms persist despite adequate rest or lifestyle changes.
  • Individuals with symptoms suggestive of hormonal imbalances or nutritional deficiencies, such as unexplained tiredness, weakness, hair loss, or reduced energy levels.
  • Individuals with a personal or family history of thyroid disorders or symptoms suggestive of thyroid dysfunction, such as unexplained weight changes, mood changes, or sensitivity to heat or cold.
  • Individuals advised by their doctor to evaluate medical conditions that may contribute to psychological or cognitive symptoms, or to investigate reversible causes before or alongside mental health treatment.
What Does This Package Detect?

What Does This Package Detect?

  • Nutritional deficiencies - Helps identify deficiencies of vitamin B12, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc and iron, which may contribute to fatigue, low mood, poor concentration, memory problems, and reduced energy levels.
  • Thyroid disorders - Supports the detection of thyroid dysfunction, which may affect mood, energy levels, memory, and overall mental well-being.
  • Abnormal cortisol levels - Helps identify abnormal cortisol levels, which may indicate disorders affecting the body’s stress response and require further medical evaluation.
  • Blood abnormalities - Helps detect conditions such as anaemia and other blood cell abnormalities that may contribute to fatigue, weakness, or reduced mental performance.
  • Underlying medical conditions - Helps identify medical conditions that may contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, irritability, sleep disturbances, or difficulty concentrating.
  • Need for further evaluation - Abnormal results may indicate the need for additional investigations or specialist consultation to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.

Important: This package does not diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or stress-related disorders. Instead, it helps identify underlying medical conditions that may contribute to psychological or cognitive symptoms. The results should always be interpreted by a doctor in conjunction with your symptoms, medical history, physical examination, and, if required, additional investigations.

How to Prepare for the Jaanch Healthy Mind Package?

How to Prepare for the Jaanch Healthy Mind Package?

What to expect before the sample collection:

  • Fasting is not required for this package unless your doctor advises otherwise.
  • Schedule your sample collection between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., as the cortisol test is ideally performed during this time when cortisol levels are naturally at their highest.
  • Inform your doctor about any medications, supplements, or recent illnesses, as some medicines (especially corticosteroids) and medical conditions may affect certain test results.
  • Stay adequately hydrated before the blood sample is collected, but avoid excessive water intake immediately before the test.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and smoking for 24 hours before the test, as these may temporarily influence cortisol levels.
  • Try to get a normal night’s sleep before the test, as inadequate sleep or staying awake through the night may affect cortisol levels.

What to expect during the sample collection:

  • A trained phlebotomist will visit your location at the scheduled time.
  • You will be asked to sit comfortably while a tourniquet (elastic band) is placed around your upper arm to make a suitable vein easier to locate.
  • You may be asked to make a fist while the puncture site is cleaned with an antiseptic solution.
  • A sterile needle will be inserted into a vein, usually in the arm, to collect the required blood sample. You may feel a brief pinprick or mild discomfort.
  • Once the sample has been collected, the needle will be removed, and gentle pressure will be applied before the site is covered with a small bandage.

What to expect after the sample collection:

  • You can resume your normal diet, medications, and daily activities unless your doctor advises otherwise.
  • Mild soreness or bruising at the puncture site may occur but usually resolves within a few days.
  • Your doctor will interpret the results together with your symptoms, medical history, physical examination, and other clinical findings. Since multiple factors can influence mental well-being, these test results should not be used to diagnose a mental health condition on their own. Additional evaluation may be recommended, if required.

Note: If you notice anything unusual at the puncture site, such as persistent bleeding, a rash, or pain, consult your healthcare provider

People Also Ask

Can the Jaanch Healthy Mind Package help identify the cause of persistent tiredness?

The Jaanch Healthy Mind Package evaluates several medical conditions that can contribute to fatigue. However, fatigue has many possible causes, and additional evaluation may be required depending on your symptoms.

Are abnormal results always a cause for concern?

Not necessarily. Test results should be interpreted together with your symptoms, medical history, and physical examination. A single abnormal result does not always indicate a medical condition.

Should I stop taking biotin supplements before the test?

Biotin (vitamin B7) supplements may interfere with thyroid function tests. It is generally recommended to stop taking biotin for at least 48 - 72 hours before sample collection. Discuss with your doctor before stopping supplementation.

Can stress on the day of the test affect cortisol levels?

Yes. Acute physical or emotional stress may temporarily influence cortisol levels. If possible, try to remain relaxed before sample collection and inform your doctor if you have been unwell or under significant stress.

Can I book this package if I work night shifts?

Yes. However, shift work can alter the normal daily pattern of cortisol secretion. Inform your doctor about your work schedule so your results can be interpreted appropriately.

Can I book this package during pregnancy?

Some tests included in the package may be useful during pregnancy, but pregnancy can naturally alter hormone levels and other parameters. Consult your obstetrician before booking the package.

What are the limitations of this package?

This package helps identify medical conditions that may contribute to symptoms affecting mental well-being, but it cannot diagnose all underlying causes. Abnormal results may require further investigations for confirmation.

Will I need additional tests if my results are abnormal?

Possibly. Depending on your results, your doctor may recommend imaging studies or referral to an appropriate specialist for further evaluation.

Is this package suitable for children?

No. This package is intended for adults. Testing in children should only be performed if recommended by a doctor.
