Suitable for all adults above 25 years. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours is required.

Why Choose the Comprehensive Plus Package Over Other Basic Packages?

Why Choose the Comprehensive Plus Package Over Other Basic Packages?

While standard tests give a snapshot of your current health, the Comprehensive Plus package goes a step further by including vitamins and electrolytes that basic packages routinely miss.

Remember, a little extra from your pocket can help you stay safe and preventive.

Who Should Book the Comprehensive Plus Full Body Checkup?

Who Should Book the Comprehensive Plus Full Body Checkup?

This package is recommended for:

  • Adults above 25 years - as part of an annual preventive health check-up to catch silent conditions before they progress.
  • Adults above 40 years - who should ideally get a full body check-up every 6 months, as the risk of diabetes, thyroid disorders, and kidney disease rises with age.
  • Individuals with a family history of diabetes, heart disease, or thyroid disorders - who need proactive monitoring even before symptoms appear.
  • People experiencing unexplained fatigue, weakness, muscle cramps, or mood changes - which may indicate electrolyte imbalances, Vitamin D deficiency, or Vitamin B12 deficiency.
  • Patients already diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, or high cholesterol - for cost-effective comprehensive monitoring of all related parameters in a single visit.
  • Vegetarians and vegans - who are at higher risk of Vitamin B12 deficiency and iron-deficiency anaemia, with limited dietary sources for both.
  • Those with limited sun exposure or dark skin tone are at significantly higher risk of Vitamin D deficiency, which affects bone health, immunity, and mood.
  • Individuals with symptoms like tingling hands or feet, hair fall, or slow wound healing, which can indicate B12 or electrolyte deficiencies.
How to Prepare for the Comprehensive Plus Full Body Checkup?

How to Prepare for the Comprehensive Plus Full Body Checkup?

Fasting Requirements

Fasting for 10 to 12 hours before the test is mandatory. This is required to ensure accurate results for Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) and Lipid Profile - two of the most important panels in this package. During the fasting period:

  • You may drink plain water freely - staying hydrated is important.
  • Avoid all food, milk, tea, coffee, juices, and all beverages other than water.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol for at least 24 hours before the test.
  • Continue taking your regular prescribed medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.
  • Morning appointments are strongly recommended - fast overnight and get tested first thing in the morning for maximum convenience.

Blood and Urine Sample Collection

This package requires two samples: one blood sample and one urine sample. A certified PharmEasy phlebotomist will visit your home at your chosen time slot and collect both samples. For the urine sample, a sterile container will be provided. Collect a midstream clean-catch sample - let the first few drops pass into the toilet, then collect the middle stream into the container. The ideal urine sample is the first morning urine.

Medications and Supplements to Inform Your Doctor About

  • Statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs) affect lipid levels.
  • Biotin or multivitamin supplements - biotin can interfere with thyroid hormone and Vitamin D assays. Stop at least 48 to 72 hours before the test.
  • Diabetes medications (insulin, metformin) - affect blood sugar results.
  • Thyroid medications (levothyroxine) - take after the blood draw, not before.
  • NSAIDs, ACE inhibitors, or diuretics can affect kidney function and electrolyte parameters.

People Also Ask

Why does this package require fasting?

Fasting is required because two key tests in this package - Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) and Lipid Profile - are directly affected by recent food intake. A non-fasting sample can give falsely elevated blood sugar and triglyceride readings, making the results unreliable. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours overnight before a morning sample gives the most accurate baseline results.

Is this package suitable for all age groups?

Yes. The Comprehensive Plus Checkup is suitable for all adults, particularly those above 25 years. For younger individuals with no symptoms or risk factors, an annual check-up is recommended. For those above 40 years, or those with diabetes, hypertension, or thyroid conditions, a 6-monthly check-up is advisable.

How long does it take to get the reports?

Reports for all 90 parameters are typically delivered within 24 to 48 hours of sample collection. The digital report is sent directly to your registered PharmEasy app or email. All reports are verified by certified pathologists before delivery.

Do I need a doctor's prescription to book this package?

No prescription is required. It is a preventive health screening package that can be self-booked on the PharmEasy app or website. However, a consultation with your doctor after receiving the report is strongly recommended for proper interpretation and any necessary follow-up.

What is the difference between FBS and HbA1c in this package?

Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) measures your blood glucose at one specific moment after overnight fasting. HbA1c measures your average blood sugar over the past 2 to 3 months. Together, they give a complete picture of blood sugar health - FBS detects acute abnormalities while HbA1c reveals long-term patterns.

Why are Electrolytes important to check?

Electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium, and calcium) regulate nerve function, muscle contractions, hydration, and heart rhythm. Imbalances are extremely common but often undiagnosed - causing muscle cramps, fatigue, irregular heartbeat, and mood disturbances. Dehydration, poor diet, certain medications, and kidney disease can all disturb electrolyte balance.

Why are Vitamin D and B12 important to check?

Vitamin D and B12 deficiencies are extremely common in India but are often missed because their symptoms - fatigue, weakness, bone pain, mood changes, and tingling in hands and feet - are vague and easily attributed to other causes. Both deficiencies are highly treatable once detected. Vegetarians, vegans, elderly individuals, and those with limited sun exposure are at particularly high risk.

Can I eat or drink anything before the test?

During the 10 to 12 hour fasting period, you may drink plain water freely. You may also take your regular prescribed medications with water unless your doctor has specifically advised otherwise. Avoid all food, milk, tea, coffee, juices, chewing gum, and any beverage other than plain water.
