How To Deal with Obesity?

By Dhwani Jerajani +2 more

Obesity can be a physically, mentally and emotionally limiting problem. Here is how you can deal with it.

If you are not active enough, you do not use the energy provided by the food you eat, and the extra energy you consume is stored by the body as fat, Using calories through physical activity, combined with reducing the calories you eat, creates a calorie deficit that may result in weight loss.

Dr. Ashish Bajaj – M.B.B.S, M.D.
  • Eat healthy, Take in fruits, green vegetables, cereals and whole-grain foods in your daily diet. Steer clear of sweets, fried, packaged and refined foods. Eat small meals and chew your food slowly. Basically, everything your mother always told you.
  • Disregard popular quick-fix weight loss methods unless they are medically supervised. This kind includes fad diets, fat-burning machines, weight loss pills and powders. Not only do these methods have serious side effects, but some of them also have a yo-yo cycle where you will regain excess weight just as quickly as you lost it.
  • This is a simple but powerful change: Make water the default choice for your beverages. That means prominently placed vending machines that dispense only water, access to potable water and constantly remind yourself to drink adequate water. Thirst can make you grab for unhealthy food.
  • If it is your kids who are suffering from obesity, then families should eat regular meals together. Eating together as a family as often as possible is a good way for parents to set a good example of healthy food behaviours.
  • There are essential oils for obesity that can sustain weight loss and hunger cravings. Essentials oils of grapefruit and cinnamon are the most effectual. Take 2 drops of grapefruit and 1 drop of cinnamon internally for 30 days as part of a weight loss program.
  • Take your time while eating. Most people with weight problems eat quicker and consume significantly more food in the same period of time as people with normal weight. One of the simplest and most effective strategies for losing weight is to apply slow eating.
  • One of the costs of the stress response is abdominal fat cell growth and the loss of muscle mass, which leads to insulin resistance and obesity. To deal with stress, calm the mind and the body; comprise physical exercise in your lifestyle; get a good night sleep.

Reducing calories and practicing healthier eating habits are key to overcoming obesity. Although you may lose weight quickly at first, steady weight loss over the long term is considered the safest way to lose weight. It’s also the best way to keep weight off permanently.
