Linotril tablet is a prescription medicine indicated for a person with anxiety or epilepsy. Linotril tablet has Clonazepam as the main ingredient. Clonazepam is an antiepileptic medicine that belongs
to a category of medicines known as Benzodiazepines. It works by regulating certain brain chemicals that produce a calming effect and relieve the symptoms. Linotril tablets should only be taken according to the dose and duration recommended by the doctor. Always report proper medical history to the doctor at the time of consultation to avoid further complications. Kindly inform the doctor if you are pregnant or planning a baby. How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Linotril 0.25 MG
- Linotril tablet has to be taken only according to the doctor’s recommendation.
- It is generally prescribed for a longer duration and has to be taken about 2-3 times a day.
- The tablet needs to be taken at the same time every day.
- Linotril tablets can be taken with or without the food, although it is better to consume the tablet with food to avoid any stomach problems.
- Linotril tablets should be taken orally with water. The medicine should not be distorted in any way by either chewing or crushing for use.
Interactions of Linotril 0.25 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Clarithromycin (antibiotic), Ketoconazole (an antifungal medicine), and Diltiazem (medicine for high blood pressure) can decrease the metabolism of Linotril.
- Aceclofenac (pain killer) and Cimetidine (medicine for the treatment of heartburn) can delay the excretion of Linotril.
- Hydrocodone, Codeine (pain killer) and Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxant) can increase the depression of the nervous system if taken along with Linotril tablet.
- Alprazolam (antianxiety medicine) can increase the severity of certain side effects.
- Acetaminophen (pain killer) increases the metabolism of Linotril.
