Seborrheic dermatitis is a condition that generally affects your scalp, and it causes scaly white patches or red patches, depending on the condition. These patches are due to a fungal infection. Therefore, it is advised to consult your doctor as soon as possible for the treatment. The treatment generally involves anti-inflammatory medications, topical lotions, and medicated shampoo. These will control your dandruff. The doctor will prescribe the medications depending on the severity of dermatitis.
You can follow the below preventive measures for your condition :
Avoid hot showers and excess rubbing of hair
You may experience itchiness and flaky skin, do not remove or scratch it
Avoid using hard towels, instead you can use a cotton towel
Apple cider vinegar can help to treat dandruff and hair fall, consult your doctor before using it
Make sure you follow appropriate protein intake in your diet
If you experience any allergic reactions to the medication, contact your doctor immediately
