The complaints mentioned could match with many conditions. It could be as small as a posture-related muscle spasm or a heart-related condition. Heart-related problems are the common complication of diabetes.

Diabetes-related problems start showing their effects with age. Diabetes, over the years, fills blood vessels with lipids(fat). This causes narrowing of blood vessels and, as a result, heart-related problems.

Considering your age, it is best to consult a doctor. The doctor may ask you to take a heart activity test(ECG). This basic test will show if there is any heart problem. Get a complete clinical examination done. Rule out the chances of anything serious, and then get treatment as per the diagnosis.

If you are planning to alter your current medication, it would be best to consult your doctor first. IME 9 tablet is an ayurvedic formulation that is marketed to reduce blood sugar levels. Regardless, it is not advisable to use the formulation as an Insulin alternative, as there are no studies that prove its efficacy to be as good as insulin treatment.

Insulin is usually prescribed when blood sugar targets are not met with lifestyle changes and other medications like metformin to prevent severe diabetes-related complications like nerve damage, cardiovascular diseases, kidney damage and retinal damage.

There are many marketed products available claiming to cure or treat diabetes; such medicines can cause undesirable effects on the body. Again, consulting with your doctor or healthcare provider before stopping your insulin or switching to alternatives will help you choose the best course of action for your health.

Type-1 diabetes is a condition where the pancreas cannot make insulin or makes very little insulin. Insulin is a hormone that enables sugar into the cells and helps utilise it as energy.
Currently, there is no permanent solution for Type 1 diabetes, but you can control the sugar levels. It can only be controlled with insulin injections. Keep track of your sugar levels, include some exercise in your routine and make a balanced diet plan that will help you maintain your sugar level. I would suggest consulting a nutritionist for the same.
You can also test your blood sugar level at home with a glucometer. Record your fasting and post meals blood glucose levels. Annual health checkups, eye tests, dental checkups are also recommended.
Regular follow-ups with a diabetologist are very important as your insulin dosage may require some adjustment from time to time.
Stay positive and stress-free. You can also join a community on social media for understanding diabetes management and discussing your problems with doctors and other people having similar conditions.

Reversal of Type 2 diabetes means bringing the blood glucose levels to a non-diabetic range or normal range. There are several ways that can help you control blood sugar, which may or may not lead to diabetes reversal. Here are a few tips:

    • Contact a dietician to get on a low glycaemic index diet, as this helps control your blood sugar spikes.
    • Routine exercise will help you lose any extra weight and prevent weight gain; this in turn will promote diabetes reversal.
    • Cut down your intake of alcohol and quit smoking as both of these are strong factors that affect blood sugar levels.
    • Ensure you have high fiber and low carbohydrate, low fat meals. Work with your dietitian to identify a suitable diet plan that fulfils these and still gives you adequate daily nutrients.

Please avoid any product or medication that claims to cure diabetes or replace your prescribed medication. Again, consulting your physician before taking on such products may save you from illegally marketed products.

Diabetes is basically a metabolic disorder in which the metabolism of glucose is affected. Therefore, I would also suggest exercising daily. Exercising daily increases the overall blood supply in the body and enhances metabolism.

Also, couple it with healthy dietary changes like minimising the use of sugar-rich products and you will see a difference.

Yes, in Type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune condition, the immune cells attack the healthy pancreatic cells and affect insulin production.

Gene-editing therapy is a fairly new therapy. It removes the defective genes and adds normal genes to the body cells. Gene editing is being tried in Type 1 diabetes to remove the defective genes that are damaging the pancreatic cells.

Also, it is being used to insert insulin-producing normal genes. This therapy is still in its infancy. It will take time and effort to develop successful gene-editing therapy for Type 1 diabetes. Gene-editing therapy can provide us with a cure for type 1 diabetes in the future, but it is a long way. Currently, there is no cure for the condition.

First of all, please understand that Type 1 diabetes mellitus is insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. This means that insulin production in the body is hampered due to a genetic disorder, and it produces little to no insulin of its own.
Hence insulin is injected into the system from external sources like injections to keep the blood glucose levels in control, which is the main function of the insulin hormone.
Diabecon contains gymnemic acid, Epicatechin, and Shilajeet. However, there is no evidence (scientific) that these herbs can cure Type 1 diabetes or eliminate the need for insulin.
Thus, it is not recommended to start Diabecon without consultation of the diabetologist. Plus, it is recommended to not pause insulin injections without consulting a diabetologist.
