Dr. Laxmikant Phutane is a pharmacology specialist with experience in clinical pharmacology, medical education, pharmacovigilance, and public health practice. He is currently serving as a Senior Resident at Government Medical College and Hospital Nagpur since May 2025. He completed his M.D. in Pharmacology from Government Medical College Nagpur, where he actively participated in seminars, journal clubs, symposiums, and student teaching activities for OT-PT and Nursing courses. Dr. Phutane has hands-on experience in adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting and causality assessment under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI). He also observed sponsored clinical trial protocol reviews during Institutional Ethics Committee meetings, gaining exposure to clinical research governance and ethical practices. As part of his District Residency Programme (DRP), he served at an Urban Public Health Centre (UPHC) in Nagpur for three months, contributing to community healthcare and public health services. His key areas of expertise include pharmacology education, pharmacovigilance, ADR monitoring, clinical research ethics, and public health practice.
