Reversal of Type 2 diabetes is possible. To reverse diabetes, you would have to bring down the blood glucose level to an acceptable range so that you don’t require insulin or medication support. You can follow these tips to reverse your diabetes:

    • Contact a dietician to get on a low-calorie diet, as it requires extreme control over how many calories you eat in a day.
    • Routine exercise will help you lose the extra weight and promote the reversal of your diabetes.
    • Fasting is a straightforward way to lose excess weight and cut down blood sugar levels. Still, you should do it under supervision.
    • Bariatric surgery is an option only if your BMI is 35 or higher. The surgery will help you lose weight and reverse your diabetes. Still, it is essential to consult your physician, as surgeries involve several risks.

If on medication, please do not stop or alter your medication without the doctor’s approval, even if your sugar comes at the normal range.
