I’m getting pimples on my forehead due to dandruff in my front hair. I have been using Keraglo AD Shampoo, but it only temporarily removes dandruff. The dandruff comes back within a day or two. Is there any cream or gel that can stop dandruff throughout the day?

Dandruff is a chronic condition, and it keeps coming and going. Especially in people with oily scalp, dandruff is common.

There are many treatment options for dandruff. They need to be used regularly for several months.

Anti-dandruff shampoos are safe for long-term use, and consistent use can help clear the infection. Products containing ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, or selenium sulphide are effective.

The shampoo can be used two or three times a week in the first two months. But it is advisable to continue regular maintenance with an anti-dandruff shampoo once a week to prevent any recurrence.

If the hair gets oily in a day or two, daily washing of hair is recommended until the infection is clear. Anti-dandruff shampoos can be alternated with regular shampoo in this case.

Pimples over the forehead are common with dandruff. Anti-acne treatment can be given for that. However, the pimples will likely keep coming back until the dandruff is cleared.

Consult a doctor for a complete treatment plan.
