I am 25 years old. I have dandruff and hair fall problems. Along with this, there is sudden appearance of white hair. I think it is better if I shave my hair to solve this problem. Can you please suggest if it is a good idea to do that? Is it possible that after shaving my head off, the hair will not grow back properly because of dandruff?
Dandruff is caused because of a fungal infection.
Shaving the hair off does not affect the hair root that is needed for regrowth. So even after shaving, the hair will grow back.
However, shaving is not a treatment for dandruff or hair fall. Dandruff needs to be treated using special medicated shampoos. These shampoos contain antifungal ingredients that clear the infection.
Hair fall can happen because of many reasons. Some of the common reasons include a poor diet, stress, or exposure to pollution.
A visit to a dermatologist can help diagnose the exact reason for hair fall. Additional treatment may be needed for hair fall.
White hair can sometimes be seen at a young age. It is more likely if others in the family have white hair.
