    Dear Reader,

Yes, Econorm is a type of probiotic. It contains Saccharomyces boulardii, a helpful yeast that supports your gut. Your physician likely gave it for diarrhea because probiotics like this help restore the natural balance of good microbes in the intestine. When this balance is disrupted by infection, dietary changes, or medications, diarrhea can occur, and probiotics often help settle it.

Econorm doesn’t stop diarrhea immediately, but it can shorten episodes and help your stomach recover faster. It’s generally considered gentle, which is why doctors often recommend it during stomach upsets.

If your symptoms aren’t improving, if you notice worsening dehydration, or if the diarrhea lasts more than a couple of days, please contact your doctor. They can check if something else is going on or if you need a different treatment.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear Reader,

Econorm sachets are usually easy to take. You can mix the contents with a small amount of water, just enough to dissolve it. It doesn’t have to be a full glass; a few tablespoons of water are usually enough. You can also mix it with juice, ORS, or even curd if that feels easier for your stomach. Just avoid very hot liquids, as they can affect how it works.

There’s no strict rule about taking it before or after food. Many people take it after meals because it feels gentler on the stomach, but you can take it at the time your doctor has advised. If you’re already on any other medicines, it’s usually better to keep a small gap between them.

If your symptoms don’t improve or you’re unsure how often to take it, please check with your doctor for the safest guidance.

    Wishing you good health.

You can simply empty the sachet into 3–4 tablespoons of cool or room-temperature water (around 30–50 ml), mix it well, and drink it right away. You don’t have to be very exact; the idea is just to use enough water to swallow it comfortably.

You can even mix it in curd, buttermilk, ORS, or juice if that feels easier. Just make sure whatever you use is not hot, because heat can reduce its effect.

If your stomach issues are getting worse, not improving, or you’re unsure about the dose, it’s always best to check with your doctor, especially if you plan to give it to a child or take it for more than a couple of days.

    Dear reader,

If you’ve taken Allegra 120 (Fexofenadine) and are experiencing a blocked nose and a mild headache, these symptoms can occur for a few understandable reasons and aren’t necessarily a sign that anything is wrong.

    Why These Symptoms Can Happen:

    1. The medicine has started working, but not fully yet

Allegra reduces symptoms by blocking histamine, which helps with sneezing, itching, and a runny nose.

    • Early relief: It usually begins working within 1–2 hours.
    • Full effect: Some symptoms—especially congestion—may take a few days of consistent use to improve.

    2. Nasal congestion is less responsive to antihistamines

While antihistamines are good for many allergy symptoms, they’re not as strong for blocked nose or sinus pressure.

    • This means you might still feel stuffed up even though other symptoms begin to ease.
    • Your doctor may later decide you need an additional treatment (such as a nasal spray) if congestion remains your main issue.

    3. The headache may come from an allergic problem /congestion / viral infection like flu

Headache and allergy like symptoms are common during flu. These symtoms take few days to resolve.

    What You Should Do:

    • Continue taking the medication as prescribed. Your physician has prescribed Allegra for a reason, and stopping on your own could make your allergy symptoms harder to control.
    • Watch how your symptoms progress over the next few days. This helps your physician determine whether the headache and congestion are transient, allergy-related, or flu-related.
    • Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen. If the blocked nose or headache doesn’t improve, becomes more intense, or feels out of the ordinary, reach out to your healthcare provider. They can assess whether you need an adjustment—such as a different antihistamine or an added medicine.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear reader,

Allegra (Fexofenadine) is an antihistamine commonly prescribed to relieve allergy symptoms, including those caused by dust. It is generally well-tolerated, but like all medications, it can cause side effects in some people. Mild gastrointestinal discomfort—such as stomach pain—is a an uncommon side effect.

    What You Should Do:

If you’ve started Allegra 120 and are now experiencing mild stomach pain, here’s how to approach it safely:

    1. Contact your doctor: The doctor who prescribed the medication is the best person to determine whether the stomach pain is a typical, temporary effect or a sign that the medication may need to be adjusted or changed.
    2. Describe your symptoms clearly: Let your doctor know when the stomach pain started, how strong it is, how long it lasts, and whether anything makes it better or worse. These details help them accurately assess the cause.
    3. Avoid changing your dose on your own: Don’t stop, reduce, or skip doses unless your doctor tells you to. Changing the medication without guidance may worsen your allergy symptoms or make it harder for your doctor to assess what’s going on.

Your doctor may advise continuing the medication, switching to an alternative antihistamine, or taking steps to ease the stomach discomfort—such as taking the dose with food, if appropriate.

Consult your physician about allergy panel tests that help identify the allergen. People who identify and eliminate allergen exposure usually experience a significant reduction in the need for antiallergy medications.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear reader,

Although Allegra 120 mg is a non-drowsy antihistamine, some people do still experience side effects such as tiredness or dry mouth. This happens because individual sensitivity to antihistamines can vary.

Why You May Feel Sleepy or “Low”:

Fexofenadine is designed to have minimal impact on the central nervous system, but in some individuals, it can still cause:

    • Mild drowsiness or fatigue-
This is considered a common side effect. The “low and sleepy” feeling you described may be your body adjusting to the medication, particularly during the first few days.

Why It May Cause Dry Mouth:

    • Reduced saliva production-
Like many antihistamines, Fexofenadine can sometimes lower saliva flow, leading to a dry mouth sensation.

    Things to Keep in Mind:

    • Individual Sensitivity:
Even with non-drowsy antihistamines, people react differently. Your response is not unusual.
    • Safety First:
If you are feeling sleepy, it’s best to avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
    • Hydration Tips:
Drinking water more often can help ease dry mouth symptoms.

    Seek Medical Advice:

If these side effects become bothersome, persist for several days, or interfere with daily activities, consult your healthcare provider. They may adjust your dosage or recommend an alternative allergy medication.

Consult your physician about allergy panel tests that help identify the allergen. People who identify and eliminate allergen exposure usually experience a significant reduction in the need for antiallergy medications.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear reader,

Allegra 120 mg is a non-drowsy antihistamine prescribed to manage allergy symptoms. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, a chemical your body releases during allergic reactions. Doing this helps reduce itching, sneezing, swelling, and other allergy-related symptoms.

Allegra 120 mg is commonly used for two main conditions:

    1. Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever)

This is the most frequent reason for prescribing Allegra. It may help reduce:

    • Sneezing
    • Runny or blocked nose
    • Itchy nose or throat
    • Watery or itchy eyes

These symptoms are usually triggered by allergens such as pollen, dust mites, or pet dander.

    2. Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (Persistent Hives)

Allegra is also used for skin-related allergic symptoms. It helps reduce:

    • Itching
    • Redness
    • Swelling or raised rashes

This condition involves recurrent hives that appear without a known cause.

    How Allegra 120 mg Helps:

    Allegra contains Fexofenadine, which:

    • Blocks histamine receptors, preventing histamine from triggering allergic symptoms.
    • Reduces the body’s allergic response, offering relief for both nasal and skin allergies.
    • Doesn’t cause significant drowsiness, making it suitable for daytime use.

Allergic problems should be evaluated by a doctor, follow their prescription, and never self-medicate. Consult your physician about allergy panel tests that help identify the allergen. People who identify and eliminate allergen exposure usually experience a significant reduction in the need for antiallergy medications.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear Reader,

It’s generally not recommended to take Allegra (fexofenadine) 120 mg twice in one day. The 120 mg tablet is formulated to work for 24 hours, and most adults only need one dose per day for seasonal allergy relief.

Typical recommended dosing for adults is 120 mg once daily, or 180 mg once daily (the usual maximum daily dose)

Why You Shouldn’t Take Another 120 mg Today:

Since you’ve already taken 120 mg this morning, taking another 120 mg tonight would put you over the standard maximum of 180 mg/day. Higher doses don’t reliably improve allergy control but can increase side effects, such as:

    • headache
    • dizziness
    • drowsiness
    • dry mouth

    What to Do Instead:

    • Do not take another 120 mg dose today.
    • Wait until your next scheduled dose tomorrow.
    • If 120 mg isn’t lasting 24 hours, talk to your doctor about options, such as:
      • switching to 180 mg once daily
      • trying a different allergy medication or combination therapy

    Dear Reader,

Feeling dizzy and weak during pregnancy while taking Orofer XT is an experience shared by many women. Yet, it is essential to contact your doctor because this symptom can stem from various causes: it may be a normal consequence of pregnancy itself, as hormonal shifts and blood pressure changes often cause lightheadedness; it could also be the lingering effect of the underlying iron-deficiency anemia that the tablet is prescribed to treat, meaning your levels have not fully recovered yet, or, less commonly, the general stomach discomfort (like nausea) caused by the iron supplement could contribute to a feeling of weakness.

Therefore, instead of stopping the medication or assuming the cause, you must consult your obstetrician or gynaecologist immediately so they can perform necessary blood pressure and iron level checks to determine the true source of the dizziness and ensure the safe continuation of treatment.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear Reader,

Nausea and vominitng are common side effects of oral iron supplements like Orofer XT. The severity varies from person to person. To help reduce this discomfort, try adjusting the timing of your dose: taking the tablet immediately after a particularly heavy meal, or switching the dose to just before bedtime, may allow you to sleep through the worst of the irritation, and some individuals also find relief by consuming the pill with a cold beverage.

If the nausea remains strong, persistent, or is significantly impacting your daily life, the most advisable step is to consult your prescribing doctor; they can expertly recommend solutions such as temporarily reducing the dosage, switching to an alternative iron formulation that may be gentler on your stomach, IV iron preparations or providing specific medical advice to improve your tolerance without compromising your iron treatment.
