    Dear Reader,

Betadine Gargle is commonly prescribed for sore throat, throat infection, or oral infections because it contains povidone-iodine. It coats the throat, disinfecting the area and promoting healing by disrupting microbes, thereby providing antiseptic action against infections. This gargle is not a cure, but supports recovery. Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics for bacterial infections if needed.

Here’s how to use betadine gargle correctly:

    Dilution:

    • Most Betadine Gargle solutions need to be diluted in water before use.
    • Mix approximately 1 part Betadine Gargle with 2–3 parts warm water (unless your doctor specifically advises using it undiluted).
    • If it’s a ready-to-use version (check the label), you can gargle directly without mixing.

    How to gargle:

    • Take the diluted solution in your mouth.
    • Tilt your head back slightly and gargle for about 30 seconds, making sure it reaches your throat, but do not swallow it.
    • Spit it out completely after gargling.

    Frequency:

    • Usually, you can gargle 2 to 3 times a day or as advised by your doctor, typically before  meals and before bedtime.

    Precautions:

    • Don’t swallow the solution.
    • Avoid using it for long periods (more than 5–7 days) unless prescribed.
    • If you have a thyroid problem, iodine allergy, or are pregnant, check with your doctor before use.

In short, dilute it with warm water (unless it says ready-to-use), gargle 2–3 times daily, and spit it out completely. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

    Dear Reader,

A little bloating or a “full” feeling can occur with probiotics such as Econorm, especially in the first day or two, but this is extremely rare. It’s usually just your gut adjusting, and for many people, it settles down on its own. If the discomfort is mild, you can continue taking it and monitor how you feel.

However, if the bloating becomes painful, keeps getting worse, or you feel uneasy about continuing, it’s safer to stop and check with your doctor. They can confirm whether it’s just a temporary reaction or if you should switch to something else.

If you notice severe abdominal pain, fever, or worsening diarrhea, please contact your physician immediately.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear Reader,

Yes, Econorm is a type of probiotic. It contains Saccharomyces boulardii, a helpful yeast that supports your gut. Your physician likely gave it for diarrhea because probiotics like this help restore the natural balance of good microbes in the intestine. When this balance is disrupted by infection, dietary changes, or medications, diarrhea can occur, and probiotics often help settle it.

Econorm doesn’t stop diarrhea immediately, but it can shorten episodes and help your stomach recover faster. It’s generally considered gentle, which is why doctors often recommend it during stomach upsets.

If your symptoms aren’t improving, if you notice worsening dehydration, or if the diarrhea lasts more than a couple of days, please contact your doctor. They can check if something else is going on or if you need a different treatment.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear Reader,

Econorm sachets are usually easy to take. You can mix the contents with a small amount of water, just enough to dissolve it. It doesn’t have to be a full glass; a few tablespoons of water are usually enough. You can also mix it with juice, ORS, or even curd if that feels easier for your stomach. Just avoid very hot liquids, as they can affect how it works.

There’s no strict rule about taking it before or after food. Many people take it after meals because it feels gentler on the stomach, but you can take it at the time your doctor has advised. If you’re already on any other medicines, it’s usually better to keep a small gap between them.

If your symptoms don’t improve or you’re unsure how often to take it, please check with your doctor for the safest guidance.

    Wishing you good health.

You can simply empty the sachet into 3–4 tablespoons of cool or room-temperature water (around 30–50 ml), mix it well, and drink it right away. You don’t have to be very exact; the idea is just to use enough water to swallow it comfortably.

You can even mix it in curd, buttermilk, ORS, or juice if that feels easier. Just make sure whatever you use is not hot, because heat can reduce its effect.

If your stomach issues are getting worse, not improving, or you’re unsure about the dose, it’s always best to check with your doctor, especially if you plan to give it to a child or take it for more than a couple of days.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear reader,

If you’ve taken Allegra 120 (Fexofenadine) and are experiencing a blocked nose and a mild headache, these symptoms can occur for a few understandable reasons and aren’t necessarily a sign that anything is wrong.

    Why These Symptoms Can Happen:

    1. The medicine has started working, but not fully yet

Allegra reduces symptoms by blocking histamine, which helps with sneezing, itching, and a runny nose.

    • Early relief: It usually begins working within 1–2 hours.
    • Full effect: Some symptoms—especially congestion—may take a few days of consistent use to improve.

    2. Nasal congestion is less responsive to antihistamines

While antihistamines are good for many allergy symptoms, they’re not as strong for blocked nose or sinus pressure.

    • This means you might still feel stuffed up even though other symptoms begin to ease.
    • Your doctor may later decide you need an additional treatment (such as a nasal spray) if congestion remains your main issue.

    3. The headache may come from an allergic problem /congestion / viral infection like flu

Headache and allergy like symptoms are common during flu. These symtoms take few days to resolve.

    What You Should Do:

    • Continue taking the medication as prescribed. Your physician has prescribed Allegra for a reason, and stopping on your own could make your allergy symptoms harder to control.
    • Watch how your symptoms progress over the next few days. This helps your physician determine whether the headache and congestion are transient, allergy-related, or flu-related.
    • Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen. If the blocked nose or headache doesn’t improve, becomes more intense, or feels out of the ordinary, reach out to your healthcare provider. They can assess whether you need an adjustment—such as a different antihistamine or an added medicine.

    Wishing you good health.

    Dear reader,

Allegra (Fexofenadine) is an antihistamine commonly prescribed to relieve allergy symptoms, including those caused by dust. It is generally well-tolerated, but like all medications, it can cause side effects in some people. Mild gastrointestinal discomfort—such as stomach pain—is a an uncommon side effect.

    What You Should Do:

If you’ve started Allegra 120 and are now experiencing mild stomach pain, here’s how to approach it safely:

    1. Contact your doctor: The doctor who prescribed the medication is the best person to determine whether the stomach pain is a typical, temporary effect or a sign that the medication may need to be adjusted or changed.
    2. Describe your symptoms clearly: Let your doctor know when the stomach pain started, how strong it is, how long it lasts, and whether anything makes it better or worse. These details help them accurately assess the cause.
    3. Avoid changing your dose on your own: Don’t stop, reduce, or skip doses unless your doctor tells you to. Changing the medication without guidance may worsen your allergy symptoms or make it harder for your doctor to assess what’s going on.

Your doctor may advise continuing the medication, switching to an alternative antihistamine, or taking steps to ease the stomach discomfort—such as taking the dose with food, if appropriate.

Consult your physician about allergy panel tests that help identify the allergen. People who identify and eliminate allergen exposure usually experience a significant reduction in the need for antiallergy medications.

    Wishing you good health.
