Dandruff is quite common in children. It need not be a cause of worry.

Anti-dandruff shampoos are safe for use in children as well. Baby shampoos can also be used regularly. Often, it may be required to wash the hair daily.

While washing, you should massage the scalp gently to clear the oil well. One should take special care to ensure that the shampoo does not enter the eyes.

External application of oil should be avoided.

White flakes over the body could be because of a variety of reasons. Atopic dermatitis is a kind of dryness that is seen in children. It is associated with sensitive skin.

It can be controlled by taking a few precautions. The time of bath should be limited to five or ten minutes. After a bath, the body should be pat dried, and then a moisturiser can be applied.

It is best to take guidance from a dermatologist for a detailed examination and accurate treatment.
