An expert will have access to your medical history, recent reports of FBS (Fasting blood sugar), HbA1c (Haemoglobin A1c), and PPBS (Postprandial glucose test) tests.
This information will help your doctor to analyse and prescribe suitable prescriptions for your current condition. Making any changes to the current dosage without your doctor’s approval can be harmful.

For the future, make alterations in your lifestyle. Choose a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and regular exercise. Keeping a regular check on your blood sugar level can help.

Hair loss can have several reasons, ranging from physical and mental stress on one spectrum to diabetes on another. Losing less than 100 strands of hair a day is normal and nothing to worry about.

Diabetes may lead to significant hair loss, especially if your diabetes is not under control.
Type 2 diabetes is often diagnosed late. Hence, it might be possible that you have had high sugar levels for quite some time now but have only been diagnosed recently.

High blood sugar levels destroy the blood vessels supplying nutrients to the hair roots. Hair thinning and hair loss are common among people with diabetes. However, the hair tends to grow back naturally in most people.

Significant hair loss causing bald patches despite following a healthy lifestyle and being consistent with your medications might need some special attention from experts.

But yes, you can keep a check on your glucose levels by following a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet. Food high in carbohydrates can raise your blood sugar level. So focus more on protein and healthy fat intake.
The government is taking steps to include Type 1 diabetics to be able to get a disability certificate; however, it’s not clear as to what states have this facility available as of now.

A 2D echocardiography, also known as 2D echo, is a test used to check the functioning of your heart. It creates images of different sections of the heart. It helps to check for heart damage and blood flow. An angiography may help identify blockages in the blood vessels, which can lead to a heart attack. The development of a fatty and waxy substance in the blood vessels is called plaque.

This is a common type of heart disease in diabetic people. Kindly consult your doctor with your angiography and 2-D echo reports. They will weigh the risks and benefits and advise you further.

Before taking you up for surgery, your doctor may advise you to control your blood sugar levels. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly. Careful attention to lowering cholesterol levels, maintaining proper weight, and exercising may help in preventing blockage. Speak to a doctor about a suitable diet and exercise plan for you.

Please note that Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a genetic condition in which there is little to no insulin production. Thus, along with a doctor prescribed insulin supplementation, a good dietary plan and exercise can help in controlling blood sugar levels.

Before starting any herbal or ayurvedic tablets, consult your kid’s diabetologist.

Yes, there is a way to plan your diet for Type 1 diabetes. Build a daily eating routine and follow that on most days. Make sure you consume a balanced diet with adequate amounts of protein, fibres, healthy fats (nuts and seeds) and carbohydrates. Prefer foods with a low glycemic index (foods that release little sugar in your body) and do not have added sugar.
Limit the intake of foods having simple carbohydrates, for example, sweetened drinks, desserts, etc. Add lots of vegetables to your diet. Pick watery and citrus fruits instead of fruits that may put a high sugar load on your body. Avoid highly refined cereals, oily and fried food.
Type 1 diabetes is caused due to a deficiency of insulin. Taking insulin injections as recommended by your doctor is a must to manage Type 1 diabetes. But, your diet can certainly help you in better managing your condition.Manage your body weight in healthy range and learn about any particular diet restrictions if advised by your doctor
