Coughing (or coughing up blood)

Persistent cough, sometimes producing blood-tinged sputum, due to lung inflammation and infection by the fungus.

Fever

Elevated body temperature as the immune system responds to the fungal invasion, often accompanied by chills and sweating.

Shortness of Breath

Difficulty breathing resulting from lung infection, which reduces the efficiency of gas exchange and can cause respiratory distress.

Chest or Back Pain

Discomfort or pain in the chest or back due to the inflammation of lung tissues, which can be exacerbated by coughing or deep breathing.

Muscle Aches or Joint Pain

Systemic infection can lead to diffuse muscle aches and joint pain, reflecting the body's inflammatory response to the pathogen.

Weight Loss

Decreased desire to eat and unintended weight loss due to the body's metabolic response to fighting the infection.

Feeling Tired

Persistent fatigue and weakness caused by the body's prolonged effort to combat the fungal infection, often leading to reduced daily activity.

Skin Sores

Development of lesions or ulcers on the skin as the infection spreads beyond the lungs, indicating disseminated disease.
