Loricon tablet is a prescription medication. Managing the symptoms of anxiety disorders is the primary use of the Loricon tablet. It is also used for managing anxiety in patients with depression for
a short duration. Anxiety and various mood disorders affect the way one can handle situations. In some cases, it is also accompanied by clinical depression. The specific reason behind most mood disorders is primarily unknown. It can be induced by typical triggers like stress, trauma, etc. Loricon tablets have lorazepam as an active component. It works as a central nervous system depressant. The mode of action of Loricon tablets is to reduce the excess activity in the brain by raising certain chemical messengers, which creates a calming impact. They also help stabilise mood by decreasing the excess activity of nerves in the brain. Some of the typical side effects of Loricon Tablet include drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, etc. These tablets can cause behavioural shifts and increase the propensity for suicidal thoughts. Uses of Loricon 2 MG
- As per CDSCO, Loricon Tablet is used in the following cases:
- Management of symptoms of anxiety disorders
- Treatment of symptoms associated with anxiety or anxiety associated with depressive symptoms for a short duration
Contraindications of Loricon 2 MG
- It is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If you have a known allergic reaction to any ingredient of Loricon tablet
- If you have a history of substance or alcohol addiction or abuse. Loricon tablet is habit-forming and can also cause physical dependence
- If you have mood changes, self-harming or suicidal thoughts and demeanours
- If you have been diagnosed with certain eye conditions such as narrow-angle glaucoma (increased fluid pressure inside the eye), Loricon tablets can worsen the condition
- If you have any trouble with respiration or lung conditions, this medicine causes excess secretions leading to breathing problems
- If you have a severe liver illness
- If you are planning a pregnancy or are already pregnant

The Loricon tablet is composed of a single active ingredient: Lorazepam. It belongs to the class of benzodiazepine (depressants). Directions for Use of Loricon 2 MG
- Take the Loricon Tablet exactly as advised by the doctor.

- Try to swallow the whole pill with a glass of water.
