Medical Description

Clavam 625 tablet is a combination antibiotic that comprises amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. It is prescribed to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, airways, ears, urinary tract, skin, bone, joints, soft tissue, and teeth, among other things. Amoxicillin, a penicillin antibiotic, kills bacteria and prevents them from forming cell walls. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that stops bacteria from destroying amoxicillin. This makes Clavam 625 Tablet more effective against a wider range of bacteria than amoxicillin alone.

It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of the treatment with this medicine as decided by your doctor. The dose and duration may vary depending on the severity of the infection and other individual parameters. Even if you feel better within a few days, do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. Augmentine Duo 625, Amoxyclav 625mg, Moxikind Cv 625mg, and Moxclav 625mg are a few more tablets that also include amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.

Clavam 625 tablet or any antibiotic should not be used when you are not sure if the infection is due to bacteria. The unnecessary use of antibiotics can make them ineffective for future treatment. Complete the course of antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor, or it may lead to relapse or return of the infection.

Before starting this tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
