Aztrone 500 MG Description
Aztrone Injection is an antibiotic medication. It contains aztreonam as the active substance. Aztrone Injection is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, lower respirato
ry tract, skin, soft tissue, bone, joint, intra-abdomen, presence of bacteria in the blood, septicemia, gynaecological infections, and gonorrhoea. This medicine works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Aztrone Injection will be given to you by your doctor or nurse. Do not self-inject it. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

Uses of Aztrone 500 MG
- Aztrone Injection is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the:

Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if

- You have any blood disorders like low blood cells count.
- You have skin disorders like blistering of the skin.
- You get a positive result in a Coombs test.
- You experience fits/seizures.
- You are taking any other antibiotic.
- You experience symptoms of encephalopathy like unexplained confusion, altered mental function, seizure, or weakness.

How Does It Work?
Aztrone Injection works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall which kills the infection-causing bacteria.

- Aztrone Injection will be given in the hospital by your doctor or nurse.
- Do not self-inject this medicine. Follow any aftercare instructions given by the doctor or nurse.
Interactions of Aztrone 500 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Aztrone Injection works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- The levels of Aztrone Injection in the body can be raised when taken along with medicines like probenecid (used for treating gout) and furosemide (used for the treatment of fluid accumulation).
- Particular care should be taken if you are taking medicines used to thin the blood.
