Interactions with other medicines

  • Drugs for treating blood pressure such as diuretics (water tablets), beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers or ACE inhibitors
  • Ergot alkaloids like Ergometrine (used to prevent blood loss after giving birth) and Ergotamine Tartrate (used to treat migraines)
  • Erythromycin or any other macrolide antibiotics (used to treat infections)
  • This medicine has interactions with alcohol and Nicotine. Do not smoke or consume alcohol while on treatment with Bromocriptinergometrine (used to stop blood loss after giving birth)

This medicine should be taken with a meal.

Dosage of Bromocriptine

Overdose

The symptoms include nausea, vomiting, constipation, sweating, pale skin, dizziness, drowsiness, yawning, hallucinations and fainting. Seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Missed a Dose

Take the missed dose with food as early as you remember. If the time for next dose is close, skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule.
