The average life of red blood cells is around 120 days. Therefore, HbA1c will help in indicating the amount of sugar in your blood for the past few months. • Are African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian, or an Alaska Native person  
• Struggling with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

No fasting is required for the HbA1c test. There's no special requirement to prepare for the test.

During the HbA1c Test

The experienced phlebotomist will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm, using a vein finder to locate your vein. It is a simple procedure that takes about 5-10 minutes. The blood sample is transferred to a collection tube and then transported to the PharmEasy Labs for testing. Everything is done cleanly and hygienically.
