Overview
Antenatal Checkup (ANC) - Early pregnancy checkup is recommended for pregnant women during the first trimester. A series of tests are done to ensure the health and safety of the mother and foetus. The tests are repeated at various stages of pregnancy.
Antenatal Checkup includes a complete urine profile. It helps in detecting any abnormal secretion of proteins or sugar as well as the presence of any Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs).
A complete blood profile is also included in the Antenatal Checkup. Complete blood work helps in detecting anaemia, infection, or any abnormality in the blood count.
Other tests like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) are also included in the Antenatal checkup to ensure safety.
