Juhi Chawla, Jackie Shroff, & Other Celebrities At Women of India Festival 2018

By Dhwani Jerajani +2 more

Juhi Chawla has donned many hats in her illustrious career as a Bollywood Diva and actress. Today she is an environmentalist and a budding farmer. Recently, she inaugurated the Women of India Festival 2018 along with other known personalities such as Pankaja Munde, Minister of Rural Development, Women & Child Welfare at the Word Trade Center on 16th March 2018.

At this very venue, Mumbai’s 1st ever organic food festival will be held, spanning 4 days and will see participation from 150 women from across India, selling their organic products and produces. The event also saw the presence of yesteryear’s actress Tanuja with her daughter, Tanisha Mukherjee. Many other Bollywood celebs were also present including Dia Mirza, Rashmi Uday Singh, Madhoo and Jackie Shroff. They also put forth their ideas to empower rural women by the promotion of organic farming.Another issue close to Juhi Chawla’s heart is the lack of awareness about mobile tower radiation and plastic pollution. Under the guidance of Union Minister, Meneka Gandhi, she has joined hands to promote women entrepreneurs and farmers. In the last year, Ms Chawla along with Red Chillies launched a movement on waste management and installed bins across the stadium that is their home ground. She also planted a sapling for every sixer hit at the Eden Garden in Kolkata.Disclaimer: The information provided here is for educational/awareness purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for medical treatment by a healthcare professional and should not be relied upon to diagnose or treat any medical condition.
